I just dispatched a fire department to a neighboring county, for a building fire on Wizard of Oz Way. Not a good thing, of course, but it did make my Oz loving heart go pitter-patter. (The fire's in a subdivision called Enchanted Hills, where the streets are named after various fairy tales and children's stories.)
On a related note, I keep forgetting to mention that Emily got me the 70th Anniversary Special Edition of The Wizard of Oz for Christmas. Speaking of making my heart go pitter-patter! In addition to the cleaned up, high def version of the movie, the DVD's contain a group of the old black and white silent Oz movies produced by L. Frank Baum himself, a documentary about Baum, and the TV movie "Dreamer of Oz", in which John Ritter stars as Baum. There are also some other goodies such as -- an emerald watch.
