A Level 1 snow emergency has been declared for Noble County, which means all non-emergency travel has been banned from all roadways. We're now having sleet after several inches of snow; the high winds are causing impassable drifts and zero visibility. Numerous vehicles are stuck in drifts, including four wheel drives, and emergency vehicles can't get to them. City and County snowplows will not run until daylight. Do NOT travel; wherever you are, stay there. It's that bad.
All Noble County government facilities will be closed on February 2nd -- which I believe is Groundhog Day. If that lousy little rodent sees its shadow, I'll be very surprised.
