Yes, a job pretty much is a prerequisite for employer covered insurance. But Obama specifically said everyone would be able to keep the insurance of their choice, while knowing the law was worded in such a way that many companies would drop their insurance -- making it impossible for people to keep the insurance of their choice. (Or maybe he didn't know: Pelosi specifically said they'd have to pass the law in order to know what was in the law.)
Still, throwing out the baby with the bathwater in favor of the typical red tape snagged, overly expensive and poorly designed complex of government agencies isn't the way to go. A tiny percentage of the ObamaCare law are things that needed to be done, but there's that huge bloated mess that comes with it -- not to mention some problems that were *not* addressed.
Although I consider myself someone who thinks we should be stronger on crime and punishment, I suspect you and I agree that Shariah law might not be the way to go!
