It's hard for a 9 year old to have that much concept of time! Actually, it's hard for *me* to really get just how much history I've lived through. I've spent so much time lately with my grandmother ... her stories are about growing up in The Great Depression and holding down the homefront while my grandfather marched through Europe. It's all a lot more recent than we think it is.
